librdkafka1-dbg software package provides library implementing the Apache Kafka protocol (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install librdkafka1-dbg
librdkafka1-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the librdkafka1-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep librdkafka1-dbg *
You will get with librdkafka1-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
